2010 Events at Glamis
Start Date: 01/01/2010Strathmore Highland Games - June Sunday 13th
The Strathmore Highland Games are held every year in the grounds of Glamis Castle. Events include the 800 Metres Scottish Cycling Championship, Scottish caber tossing championship and tug o war. Other events include running, cycling, highland dancing and solo piping. This is a great family day out, celebrating Scotland rich cultural heritage.
Time: 12.30-17.00
Adult £5, Child/Concessions £3, Family £15, Parking £1 (Tickets available on gate)

Living History Interpretation Weekend - July 25th
On Saturday 25th July, Historical Interpreter, Bob Holsman, will interpret a Royal Visit and guarding the Queen with weapons display. Bob will be happy to pose for photographs and interact with visitors throughout the day; from 11am onwards.
Scottish Transport Extravaganza - July Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th
Set against the backdrop of Glamis Castle the Transport Extravaganza is an annual event held over two days. It is among the major vintage and classic vehicle shows in the UK. A great day out with plenty stalls to keep the whole family amused. For more information follow the link.

July 26th commemorates 60 years of castle opening to the public. The first 60 people will be charged at the 1950 rate of 2/6 (12 pence).
