There's so much to enjoy at Glamis that you may wish to take advantage of our 'Friend of Glamis' season ticket!

Disabled Access

The ground floor of the castle which includes the restaurant and our coach house exhibition is wheelchair accessible.

Motorised Scooters are available free of charge for access to our Gardens and Grounds.

The disabled restroom is located in the pavillion shop.

The Castle Tour includes a number of stairs to ascend and descend throughout as well as uneven floorings.

Useful to know...

All tours of Glamis Castle are guided. Once your tour begins every room has its own story and the evolution of the castle and legendary tales are brought to life by one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. 

Please be aware that photography inside the castle is not permitted.

When our language speaking guides are not available we offer written translations in several languages or invite your Group Tour Leader to translate. Guided tours last approximately 50 minutes and are included with the Castle and Grounds admission ticket. 

A visit to the Pavilion Shop, Castle Restaurant & Exhibition Rooms is included with your grounds only admission.

Nearby Attractions

Saddle Up Ranch are a local charity that have strong links with Strathmore Estates. They provide Horses as Therapy and riding for vulnerable children and adults as well as hosting Western trail riding around our beautiful estate, village, woodland and moors for Glamis visitors.
