Restaurant

The Restaurant is situated in the magnificent Victorian Kitchens with their 19th century ovens, stoves and copper pans carefully restored. As a working kitchen this area would have been a hive of activity in years gone by and visitors can still view the ‘Service Bells’ which would have been monitored by the servants in the kitchen. 
While the popular restaurant occupies the old Kitchen, the annexe has been transformed in a  Victorian Tea Room and now serves Afternoon Tea. (2.30pm - 4.30pm)

Other artifacts which enhance the surroundings include a beautiful painting of the late Queen Mother with two of her sisters and the coronation banners which were hung in The Mall in 1937. 

Food and drink is available in our self-service, licensed restaurant throughout the day (10.00am - 5.30pm). We specialise in offering fresh, local produce with a Scottish flavour all cooked on the premises and served with a smile. 

If you are visiting in the morning enjoy freshly-brewed fairtrade coffee or speciality teas with Scottish pancakes and jam made from Estate-grown fruit.

At lunchtime there is a choice of hot meals, fresh salads 
(with lettuces and herbs grown at Glamis), home-made soup and sandwich snacks, along with a selection of beverages. Beer and wine are also available. Children's lunch boxes, which include up to 5 items of food, are also on sale. Half portions of main meals available for children.

Afternoon tea with homebakes and cakes is a favourite with many visitors.
