Glamis has a fantastic calendar of events for you to enjoy throughout the year – great days out for families, music fans and lovers of Scotland’s history and heritage.
Glamis Events
There’s always lots to see and do at Glamis be it in the castle, the gardens or the expansive grounds. The passing seasons mean that you can enjoy a different experience each time you visit and we have a range of special events arranged to celebrate the changes in the Castle’s surroundings. From an Easter Day Out, to summer Highland Games and music festivals through to Victorian Christmas, there’s always a reason to come back to visit us.
Outdoor Events
The setting, nestled in our beautiful woodlands, is perfect for outdoor events and hosts the annual The Strathmore Highland Games in June, the Transport Extravaganza in July and the must-see Grand Scottish Prom in August. Scotland’s Countryside Festival, Celtic Rock at Glamis take place in September and added to these annual events is open air theatre performance. This year Heartbreak Productions presented Peter Pan.

Staff entered the spirit of the occasion as they dressed up in final preparation for the forthcoming Peter Pan Play at Glamis.
Tickets are on sale now for events in the inaugural Angus & Dundee Roots Festival programme. This week-long festival, takes place from 6th - 13th September 2008.
The Pipers' Trail, an exciting musical extravaganza taking place this summer providing a piping and drumming journey the length and breadth of Scotland visited Glamis Castle today.
28 squadron RAF Benson visit Glamis on break from training excercise . Staff at Glamis noticed quite a lot of helicopters flying over the castle over a 3 week period.
