Autumn is a spectacular time of year where the trees turn from green to gold and the leaves crunch under your feet. You can look to explore all that our Castle and Gardens has to offer this autumn as well as sampling the delights of our Castle Kitchen Restaurant which is open daily. The menu includes an array of hot drinks, scones, cakes and full lunch menu.

We have been working hard to bring you a selection of autumnal events including our Autumn Festival, Apple Pressing Workshops, Pumpkin Carving classes and our brand NEW for 2021 event, ‘A Trail of Tales at Glamis Castle’. Read on to find out more.
Join us on 9th and 10th October for a fun, family-friendly event where you can experience a variety of food, drink and craft businesses. Open from 10am – 5pm daily and tickets can be secured when pre-booking entry into our gardens and grounds.
Apple Pressing Workshops
Join our Head Gardener, Des Cotton, for a tour of our gardens as well as a specialist talk about the variety of apples we have growing in our Walled Garden. After this, you will participate in a practical apple pressing workshop before leaving with a goody bag to take home. Available on 10th, 12th and 14th October and tickets cost £20 per person.
Pumpkin Carving Classes
Master your pumpkin carving skills when attending one of our classes at Glamis Castle. Children can pick their own pumpkin from our autumnal display before enjoying a pumpkin carving class with our team. Available on 11th and 13th October and tickets cost £15 per child.
‘A Trail of Tales at Glamis Castle’
A family friendly event, the inaugural show will run from October 29th-November 7th from 4pm-8.15pm each night offering visitors another opportunity to experience the castle’s spectacular grounds and gardens, but this time under moonlight. Tickets are £15 per adult and £10 per child with special family tickets also available.
