In recent times the Walled Garden had sadly fallen into disuse however in 2015 the 18th Earl and the Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne, started a major redevelopment with new flower beds being planted, water features including a Monet style bridge over an ornamental pond and a large central fountain were added.

Fruits and vegetables have been planted by our wonderful Gardens Team harking back to a time when the Walled Garden provided bountiful produce for the castle.
