Magical end of season lined up at Glamis Castle
Immerse yourself in the magic of the festive season at Glamis Castle
Immerse yourself in the magic of the festive season at Glamis Castle as our centuries old castle gets ready to be transformed for visitors to our Christmas markets and sold out Santa events.
Friends of Glamis, families and Christmas shoppers are invited to join us in the festive fun before our iconic attraction closes for the 2023 season on December 17th.
Our hugely popular Christmas Market returns this weekend (24-26 November) for you to enjoy an array of local traders selling a selection of fantastic festive gifts, food and drink items. New for 2023 is our very first night market which will be held on Friday, 24 November for late night shopping against the twinkling castle backdrop, ambient festive music and a tipple from Let their Be Gin for those who aren’t driving.
If you weren’t able to secure spaces at our Breakfast with Santa and Santa’s Grotto, visit our markets on 25 or 26 November when a variety of Children’s activities will be on offer including an opportunity to post a letter to Santa and Best Dressed Competition sponsored by The Happy Go Lucky Dog Company.
Alternatively, our Pavillion Gift Shop will be opening its doors and welcoming festive shoppers on the evenings of the 7th and 8th of December from 4pm-8pm.
As another successful season draws to a close Friends of Glamis can renew their membership for 2024, or for those looking for an extra special gift this Christmas, unlimited access to Glamis throughout the open season is only £95 and can be purchased here.
Steven Cummings, General Manager at Glamis Castle says: “We all know that Christmas is the most magical time of year but is there anywhere more magical than a Scottish castle Christmas? We have ramped up the magic and ambience even further this year with the addition of our night market, which promises to be a truly wonderful evening for our guests and perfect way to draw our 2023 season to a close.
“We are very proud of our series of festive events and every year they prove more popular than the last and this year we have completely sold out of our Breakfast with Santa and Santa’s Grotto tickets.
“It’s been a brilliant year here at the castle and we look forward to giving our staff a well earned break before opening our doors once again in March 2024.”
